Statement of aims- media coursework How and why I will use media language: Media language includes colours used, lighting, angles, mise en scene, shots, images, people used. Mise en scene includes make up and fashion, so I will style Neve to appeal to a middle aged audience, e.g more covered and with natural make up and pastel colours. I want to use mostly bright light to portray clear images with a range of camera angles including close ups, far aways, and high angles. I will use images of fashion items and niche places to travel. How and why I will construct representations of individuals, groups, events etc: How I will target the intended audience: Explorer- find a new, niche product o promote, maybe a health care product, a new secret place for a holiday destination or a new fashion trend. Magazine Task 1- Create a front cover, article and contents page (for more detail see the sheet). It needs to be an independent publishing organisation targeting 30-49 year olds, mostly explorers or reformers. I'm going to do a women fashion magazine targeting a niche audience of cultured older women. An explorer is driven buy the need for discovery, so they respond to brands that offer new sensations whereas a reformer won't buy something just because its new as they are intellectually and socially aware, so they crave authenticity.              Front Cover The front cover must include the following features as a minimum; an original title, mashed, strapline, a cover price and bar code, a main original cover image and at least four cover lines.
